Michael Jackson: A Legend

Michael Joseph Jackson joined the music scene as a member of the Jackson 5 when he was 11 years old. In 1971, he began a solo career in the professional music industry, and eventually became known to the rest of the world as the “King of Pop”.

Michael Jackson became a prevailing figure in the music industry in the early 80s, and was the first African-American to be so successful with the fans on MTV. His music videos for “Billie Jean”, “Beat It”, and “Thriller” changed the way that people saw music videos, and is one of the reasons that the MTV channel became so popular. In the 1990s, Michael Jackson had made videos for his songs “Black or White” and “Scream”, which every household probably knew by heart.Michael Jackson was not just a world-renowned singer, but he was an extremely talented entertainer as well. With the help of his music videos and stage performances, Michael Jackson created moves that became distinctly his—the moonwalk and the robot. All over the world, people would see those two dances and associate it with the King of Pop.

There are only a few artists who made into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame two times, and Michael Jackson was one of those artists. He was also included in the Guinness World Records a number of times, and one of those records was being the “Most Successful Entertainer of All Time”.

Over the years, Michael Jackson had 13 Grammy Awards under his belt, and also had 13 number one singles throughout his entire solo career, which is more number one singles than any other artist in his time. He won 13 Grammy Awards.

For almost four decades, Michael Jackson was a part of our lives in his own little way. He brought us all joy with his music, and made a permanent mark in the music industry.
