Celebrate a Cracker Christmas at Fort Christmas

Saturday, December 5 and Sunday, December 6, visitors can get a taste of Old Florida as they celebrate a Cracker Christmas at the Fort Christmas Historical Park located in the tiny town of Christmas, FL, which is located east of Orlando in Orange County on SR 50. The Cracker Christmas will be held from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on both days. Entrance to the event is free, plus a $5.00 parking fee per vehicle across the road from the park.

The Cracker Christmas will serve up BBQ pork sandwiches, chicken filets, baked goods, drinks, hotdogs, sweet pickles, and even some gator meat. The will be pioneer era demonstrations such as broom making, blacksmithing, basket weaving, rope making, spinning, quilting, lace making, wood carving, and much more. Santa Claus will make an appearance at 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. on both days, and there will be a large craft fair with over 150 crafters with handmade items. Cracker Christmas also includes an antique engine and tractor display in this historic village.

Most importantly, the Christmas Post Office will have a booth so visitors can get their Christmas cards hand stamped from Christmas, Florida.
