Autical wares to star at Big Pine Key's Annual Maritime Mart

Aficionados of boating, fishing and diving in the Florida Keys’ ocean realm can take their pick of maritime merchandise at the annual Big Pine Nautical Flea Market, set for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23.

Dive and snorkel gear, boats and motors, fishing tackle and marine merchandise of all sorts are to be available for sale. The family-friendly open-air event is to take place on the grounds of the Lower Keys Chamber of Commerce, mile marker 31 oceanside on Big Pine Key.

As well as indulging their cravings for the latest gear, nautical buffs can enjoy live music throughout the day provided by favorite local and regional entertainers. The talent lineup includes Terry Cassidy, Michael J., Terry Miller, Brian Roberts and Bobby D’ and the No Slack Living Room Band.

To satisfy cravings of a different sort, vendors are to offer “Keys casual” food and beverages.

A raffle giveaway is scheduled every 30 minutes, allowing even more opportunity to acquire marine-related items.

Proceeds from the Big Pine Nautical Flea Market are to benefit the Lower Keys Chamber of Commerce.
