ASTA is working with the Weather Channel to spread travel tips and advice to an even wider audience of consumers. Visitors to the Weather.com site looking for sage advice on a holiday travel will now be able to read articles from ASTA’s consumer Web site, TravelSense.org, on such subjects as Road Tips for Road Trips, 10 Winter & Holiday Travel Tips to Melt Your Worries Away and Happy Holiday Travel with Kids in Tow.
“With articles on a variety of timely topics all linking back to TravelSense.org, now it’s even easier for consumers to find an ASTA travel agent near them,” said ASTA President and Chair Chris Russo. “Working with the Weather Channel is just one of the ways ASTA is continuously working to promote the value of using an ASTA travel agent.”
Each of the travel tip articles on Weather.com links directly back to TravelSense.org where consumers in search of travel planning services can contact ASTA travel agents in a variety of ways, be it directly via e-mail or phone through the ‘Find a Travel Agent’ directory or by requesting a trip quote. ASTA’s travel agent directory allows visitors to search for travel agents by such criteria as area of expertise, language spoken, office location and destination specialization.
TravelSense.org offers a wealth of travel tips and advice as well as articles on destinations from New Orleans to New Zealand, from Andalusia to Tasmania and everything in between along with videos, spotlights the United States’ national parks and international hot spots.
The mission of the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) is to facilitate the business of selling travel through effective representation, shared knowledge and the enhancement of professionalism.
