Utah's Solitude Mountain Resort

In what may be a ski-industry first, Utah’s Solitude Mountain Resort for three days this past weekend offered a unique promotion: find the best deal on a lift and lodging package anywhere in the U.S., and Solitude will match it.

Solitude matched the price of any Ski and Stay package at any resort-affiliated or located lodging property at any ski resort in the continental U.S. Those who took advantage of the offer must complete their travel by Christmas Day, which means that many will be spending Christmas morning in Utah’s newest pedestrian-only slopeside village.

“Solitude is putting the consumer in the driver’s seat,” said resort spokesperson Nick Como. “By allowing our guests to choose the structure and package that works for them, we’re creating a conversational booking model.”
