The Storm! How it Happened!

It was April 14, 2009, and I was home from school on Easter Break. The morning started out dark, and then it Happened. It was about 10:10AM, and I was on the computer playing Club Penguin. My sister and brothers were watching TV in the living room. Hearing Thunder, and Seeing the flash of Lighting, I knew this was going to turn into a bad storm.

I remembered what my teacher taught me in science class, that we should always turn off all electrical items, and go to a safe place. I hurried and shut down the computer, and went to turn off the TV. As we all sat together on the sofa, the rain started pouring from the sky, and the thunder and lightning, got worse. Then it happened! The sound of something very hard hitting the windows and the roof.

This was a sound I have never heard before. It scared us all, especially my little brothers. Mom got up and looked out the window. HAIL!!! Balls of ice, pouring from the sky. We ran to watch it hit the swimming pool. It was the coolest thing ever. It came and went so fast. A day I will never forget.
