Whale Watch Season Starts Next Month!
HONOLULU – Guests can observe and gain insight on Hawaii’s annual whale visitors aboard the Star of Honolulu’s 2.5-hour Premier Whale Watch Cruise. Offered daily from December 20, 2009 through May 15, 2010, this complete experience features the best facilities for viewing whales, guaranteed sightings and educational whale activities. Plus, in an effort to make it possible for the whole family to enjoy Winter’s “must do” eco-tour, the STAR is offering a new “Child FREE” (per paid adult) special.
Hawaii’s largest tour vessel, the 232′ A.D.A. compliant Star of Honolulu, departs from Aloha Tower Marketplace and cruises beyond Diamond Head to give passengers the most opportunities to view whales and their newborn calves. With a spacious 60′ high observation deck, four walk-around decks and three types of stabilizers designed especially for Hawaiian waters, the STAR also offers the most outdoor deck space as guests cruise in comfort. Whale sightings are guaranteed; if whales are not spotted a free return cruise voucher is issued to try again. Plus cruise-goers can learn about Humpback whales from the trained Naturalist crew, narration, souvenir handout and video presentation. As a bonus, they can also participate in hands-on educational programs and fun Hawaiian cultural activities including lei making, ukulele and hula lessons.

Suggested retail prices are $56.00 for adults and $34.00 for children (ages 3-11) and includes a Taste of Hawaii buffet lunch. Cruise without lunch is $40.00 for adults and $24.00 for children. Round-trip motorcoach transportation from the Waikiki area is also available at an additional $10.00 per person.
