Getting a tattoo is like finding a husband. Only harder. When you want one, you really have to pick out which suits your personality the best. Don’t forget, it also has to look good and mean something deep for you. Only there’s no divorce here, just laser treatments and hundreds of dollars down the drain.

Anyway, if you haven’t decided yet what you want etched on your skin forever, might I suggest a design? I am very astrologically inclined and I myself have gotten a tattoo and it’s the symbol for my zodiac sign. I know you might be thinking its way too common but its not. I was born on the year of the rabbit (1987 baby!) and what I got is this exotic Chinese calligraphy symbol done on my right hip.
Its amazing how one symbol can mean so much. And every character can change with just one stroke of a brush. It’s so awesome I tell you! People come up to me all the time, inquiring what it means and the story behind it. I tell them that what I’m telling you right now. It’s close to my heart because I really am a rabbit. It’s funny right, how ridiculous it sounds but honestly, there is like a spiritual connection I can’t explain. And no, I am not Chinese but who cares? I assume you are interested, right? Not only will this have a deep meaning but it’s a great conversation starter as well.

To brief you, there are 12 animals in the Chinese zodiac: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Snake, Dragon, Monkey, Rabbit, Horse, Goat, Rooster, Dog and Pig. Your Chinese zodiac would depend on the corresponding animal in the year of your birth. I suggest looking it up online so you wouldn’t get the word wonton instead of Dragon on your arm.
